Hurrah! Edinburgh finally has a covered, more-or-less warm and step-free link between the tram and the Fife train line – Edinburgh Gateway. If that wasn’t exciting enough there is a heater which can be operated by the travelling public. This is in the waiting area, out of the wind and rain which is so often a feature of our train stations in Scotland. Well done ScotRail!
Some of you will know that I often write about toilets on here – the good, the bad and the funny. Accessible toilets are a particular hobby horse of mine and some of you will remember the flight of stairs down to the ‘accessible’ toilet in Hyde Park Corner.
I am pleased to see a guide on ‘Euan’s Guide‘ today about reviewing a toilet. This site is a really useful one in terms of accessibility. Do consider reviewing for it if you have any comments about the accessibility of places you’ve visited – not just toilets! Maybe add a comment about your dream toilet for World Toilet Day on the 19th!
I am honoured to be able to share a blog post by Nada of #Scootathon fame about her experience of going to Gaza to visit her sick mum and coming home again to Scotland. This is a long piece but chillingly informative.
